They dismounted one of the four impressions and used it to design a CAD file for a single-cavity core box milled from urethane. The impression was mounted in a smaller and more efficient core box. The new core box also was 25% of the cost of producing a same-size duplicate of the original tooling.

Because consolidating tooling from multiple sources can be a challenge, we also can engineer new tooling using finished parts. Our 3D flow analysis and solidification simulation saves time and money in the process.
