The Challenge of Low-volume Casting Purchases
Finding a foundry to produce low volume castings is a challenge but Kirsh is the easy answer.
At Kirsh we have a variety of molding lines to produce all your requirements, regardless of volume. Three automatic molding lines handle low-, medium- and high-volume castings up to 65 lbs. All three lines are engineered with short set-up times to economically produce runs of any size. We pour all major grades of ductile and gray iron to meet your requirements. Our philosophy is to make our customers’ lives simpler by being your single-source for low- and high-volume requirements. This philosophy guided us to build a foundry uniquely equipped to meet the variety of castings you need. In addition to molding options and alloy varieties, we house a complete pattern department capable of building, rigging and repairing all types of tooling. We control time-consuming pre-production tooling prep and sampling. A department manager schedules to customer needs and flexible employee work hours mean most priorities can be met. An on-site warehouse is capable of storing more than 5,000 patterns, so customers always know where they are.
While you might envision a foundry that emphasizes short-run work would be a “mom and pop” shop, this is not the case at Kirsh.
Our foundry employs the latest equipment and our systems meet quality criteria on every casting produced, regardless of run size. Our IBM mainframe and computerized production tracking system retain complete control over all operations necessary to produce an individual casting. Operators have complete work instructions to process castings according to each customer’s quality requirements. Kirsh Foundry is ISO 9001 certified and holds quality certifications from major manufacturers, so even if you’re not a Fortune 500 manufacturer, you benefit from their quality demands.
Real-time data collection through bar-coding means critical production and quality information are available to track progress of each production run — large or small — ensuring successful completion and on-time shipment.
With all these capabilities, Kirsh is the best choice to manufacture both your production castings and low-volume castings. Our customers appreciate Kirsh can bundle most casting needs and significantly simplify their workload.
